Prof Sinclair secures VIVIFRAIL grant

VIVIFRAIL represents the third of three successful new grants obtained by Professor Alan Sinclair since leaving the University of Bedfordshire last September.

It is being led by his close colleague Professor Mikel Iszuierdo, from Pamplona, in northern Spain.

This EU-project under the ERASMUS initiative is also taking place in Italy, Spain, Germany and France and aims to create an innovative suite of learning programmes to teach health professionals and other groups about the key features of recognising and diagnosing frailty, and then how to develop unique exercise and nutritional programmes to reverse frailty.

The project represents the sixth successful EU grant awarded to Professor Sinclair as a co-applicant.
